Young Guns Joins as a Planting Partner with 725 Trees in Tanzania

Press Release · Vancouver, Canada ·

New partner

VANCOUVER, CANADA. Oasis of Change, Inc. welcomes Young Guns, a fellow Vancouver organisation, as a planting partner. Young Guns funded 725 trees in the Plant to Stop Poverty project in Tanzania, planting Ficus sur, the bush fig, a fast-growing native species whose figs feed birds, bats and monkeys year round. The planting was issued as Tree-Nation certificate 9465831 on July 25, 2026, and offsets 72,500 kg of CO₂ across the trees' lifetimes.

"Partners like Young Guns are how a small organisation reaches a large number," said Gabriel Dalton, Oasis of Change. "They chose a project that pays rural families to keep forests standing, and they chose a species that feeds the animals living in it. That is a better decision than simply buying the cheapest tree available."

In keeping with how this report treats every shared planting, the 725 certificated trees were gifted to the Web-Ready by Oasis of Change, Inc. forest and are therefore recorded as a shared allocation. They are counted once, on the Web-Ready side, and excluded from the additive partner total so the headline figure cannot double-count them. Young Guns' full forest, including trees planted through Tree-Nation's Seeds game, is reported on the breakdown page and updates automatically from Tree-Nation.
